Description of Novel Organic Liquid Nutrients

Banana is an important fruit crop grown that generates large quantity of biomass in the form of Pseudostems. We are happy to  inform that we at GNX Agro Biochem Private Limited, Mumbai with technological support from NAU have successfully developed a value addition chain to produce liquid bio-fertilizer from the leaves, stems andscutcher biomass material, along with other value added products like banana fiber and paper pulp. This bio fertilizer is 100% water soluble and can be easily sprayed.

                The banana pseudo stem sap extracted (BPS) from the outer sheath of the pseudo stem of the banana tree (Musa Cavendish). This invention provides a bio-enriched organic fertilizer composition intended to minimize the use of chemical fertilizers. The Liquid portion BPS sap obtained along with scutcher during fiber extraction from Banana Pseudostems is good source of plant nutrients  Micronutrients along with growth promoting Harmons like Cytokinin & Gibberellic Acid GA3.

            If used as liquid fertilizer either through drip irrigation system or drenching to crops, it can save 20-40% dose of chemical fertilizer with yield advantage of up to 33%.
